Blue Coat ProxyClient is software for Windows computers that extends application delivery to remote users by accelerating key applications and controlling Internet access for PCs outside the corporate network. ProxyClient offers a unique combination of MACH5 optimization techniques with Blue Coat WebFilter software and its WebPulse cloud service that acts as a community watch to block malware from infectious sites. Whether accelerating access for remote workers, protecting consultants from inappropriate Internet content, providing speedy applications for outsourcing partners or bringing LAN-like access to home telecommuters, ProxyClient overcomes the challenges of connectivity over networks you don't control. As a free extension to your Blue Coat Application Delivery infrastructure, ProxyClient requires no additional licenses, dedicated managers or load balancers; all you need is a ProxySG appliance to start accelerating and protecting remote workers.

As an integrated part of the Blue Coat solution for application delivery, ProxyClient is administered directly from the ProxySG management console for easy provisioning, configuration and automatic updates. ProxyClient is easily distributed to end-user machines by a simple web download, or using standard software provisioning. Once installed, ProxyClient automatically accepts your corporate policy, integrates into the Application Delivery Network and transparently updates itself when new patches are available. With built-in location awareness, ProxyClient can find the nearest ProxySG concentrator appliance appropriate for each application, as well as automatically fail-over and load balance between appliances for high availability and maximum performance.
